Juanita Esubonteng is a dynamic human development specialist, educator, and program strategist with over a decade of experience driving impact across education, youth development, and capacity-building initiatives in Africa.
She is the Founder and Lead Consultant at Esperon Africa, a consultancy dedicated to designing and delivering contextually grounded solutions that empower individuals, organizations, and communities to thrive.
With a strong background in programme design, learning and development, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), Juanita has led and supported initiatives for major NGOs, educational institutions, and development agencies across the continent. Her career spans influential roles with organizations such as Axis Human Capital in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation for the Ghana Grows Programme, Mentoring Plus International Leadership Academy (MPILA), the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), and several youth and leadership-focused nonprofits, where she spearheaded high-impact projects in curriculum development, training, and strategic program implementation.
Driven by a deep belief in the power of education and skills development to transform lives, Juanita established Esperon Africa to bridge the gap between vision and execution. The firm partners with international organizations, local stakeholders, and development institutions to bring programs to life — from concept to measurable impact — with a particular focus on youth development, informal education, women and girls’ empowerment, and entrepreneurship.
Juanita has an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Bolton and studied Psychology and Human Development at undergraduate level at the Regent University College of Science and Technology.
She has a strong track record of results, a passion for unlocking potential, and a commitment to inclusive, community-led development. Through Esperon Africa, she is building a hub of excellence that supports Africa’s next generation of change-makers.
